When making her hosting debut on 'Saturday Night Live', the 'Bear' star pokes fun at herself after she was caught insulting the 'On the Floor' hitmaker in a 2020 episode of the 'Scam Goddess' podcast.

AceShowbiz - Ayo Edebiri used humor to address her mini-controversy involving Jennifer Lopez. When making her hosting debut on "Saturday Night Live", the comedienne called herself "stupid" for mocking the "On the Floor" hitmaker in a past interview.

In the Saturday, February 3 episode of the comedy sketch show, the 28-year-old participated in a skit called "Why'd You Say It?" where she played Annie. The skit itself called out people who are trolls online.

"OK, OK! We get it. It's wrong to leave mean comments or post comments just for clout -- or run your mouth on a podcast and you don't consider the impact because you're 24 and stupid," she said in a monologue. "But I think I speak for everyone when I say, from now on, we're going to be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online."

"The Bear" star's joke was clearly taking a dig at her own comments made on the "Scam Goddess" podcast in 2020. In the episode, she called J.Lo "one long scam" for allegedly using ghost singers to record her music.

"Today I was actually thinking about one of my favorite scams of all time because J.Lo is performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show," Ayo said at the time. "Her whole career is one long scam."

"She thinks she's on multiple tracks, but it's not her," the Golden Globe Award continued. "I think she thinks that she's still good even though she's not singing for most of these songs."

The actress, who won her first Emmy last month, went on to admit she became "fascinated" with J.Lo's career and "read up on" theories that she did not sing all of her tracks. "A lot of the write-ups of the songs will be like, 'J.Lo didn't have time to make it to the studio,' like, 'J.Lo was busy,' " she added. "It's like, 'Doing what?' Not singing, obviously!!"

As for J.Lo, who was tapped as a musical guest on "SNL", she performed two songs that night. She sang "Can't Get Enough" along with Latto (Mulatto) and Redman as well as "This Is Me... Now".
