The trailer, released ahead of 21 Savage's new album under the same name, sees Donald Glover and Caleb McLaughlin playing the British-American rapper at different ages.

AceShowbiz - 21 Savage is not releasing the "American Dream" movie since the trailer was just a parody. However, the "Her Loss" artist let everyone know that he doesn't rule out the idea of making a biopic about himself.

"That was a parody," the 31 year-old confirmed when appearing in the Wednesday, January 24 episode of "Club Shay Shay" podcast. "I feel like it could be [a real movie] one day. They'll hate on it now though, 'cause they going to be like, 'What the f**k 21 Savage deserve a story for? […] What he did?' You know how they do."

The trailer, dropped ahead of 21 Savage's new album under the same name, sees Donald Glover and Caleb McLaughlin playing 21 at different ages. Meanwhile, Jabari Banks portrays Metro Boomin. Also making appearances in the clip are Natasha Lyonne, Young Mazino, Druski, Victoria Pedretti, Chad Lindberg and Gail Bean.

"See my shooter pescatarian but he eat all the beef/ You gave me your ass to kiss but want the all of me," he spits about his past while sitting inside an interrogation room. "I stand on business dot my i's and cross my ts/ All I got is these lil' pictures when I think of all the G's."

21 Savage's "American Dream" album itself successfully made its debut atop the Billboard 200 albums chart. In the chart dated January 27, the album earned 133,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending January 18, according to Luminate.

The launch of "American Dream" marks 21 Savage's best week by units earned for all of his non-collaborative music projects. He surpassed his previous album titled "I Am > I Was" by 2,000 units as it earned 131,000 units back in 2018.
