AceShowbiz - Jane Seymour has opened up about her sex life with John Zambetti. The "Live and Let Die" actress revealed that sex has become "more wonderful and passionate" since being in a romantic relationship with her musician boyfriend.
The 72-year-old former Bond girl candidly shared her thoughts on sexual intercourse in her essay, which was published by Cosmopolitan on Wednesday, January 17. She wrote, "Sex right now is more wonderful and passionate than anything I ever remember because it is built on trust, love, and experience."
On the reason why, Jane stated, "I now know myself and my body, and John has had his own experiences in his life, it's not like when you're younger. I suppose among younger generations, people have sex first and then say, 'Oh, by the way, hello. How do you do?' The older I get, the more sex is built on emotional intimacy, on having shared the ups and downs of life with someone, our feelings, our joys, our sadness, our mutual passions, and desire."
Jane went on to pen, "After 60, you come to realize that intimacy can also be self-serving. I've spoken with friends whose spouses have passed away and whose doctors have said, 'Now it's time for you to learn to be intimate with yourself.' Sure, loving touch changes according to what abilities you have physically as you age, but it's certainly not something you give up just because youre a certain age."
"Your sex life doesn't need to end at 60," the actress pointed out. "At the end of the day, everyone is looking for something that puts blood into a certain area. When you can figure that out, well, you're going to be a happy camper. (And bonus: You're not going to get pregnant, right?)"
The revelation about Jane's sex life with John came a few months after she confirmed that they are dating. On October 1, 2023, she went Instagram official with The Malibooz rocker by sharing a series of their sweet photos. Along with the snaps, she exclaimed, "I've never been happier."
Days later, Jane and John unveiled that their children played matchmakers for them. At that time, he told PEOPLE, "Well, our kids put us together," before she agreed, "Yes, our kids put us together." He continued, "So we certainly don't have to worry about the kids not approving of who we were with. I'm very lucky to be with her."
