The 'Only Murders in the Building' actress is inundated with both positive and negative comments after posting photos on her social media account showing off her newly-dyed blonde hair.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez is following in the footsteps of Rihanna to enter her lighter hair era. After staying away from social media amid backlash over her neutral stance on the Israel-Palestine war, the actress/singer has made use of Instagram to debut her new look.
The 31-year-old showed off her hair transformation through two new photos uploaded on her Stories. In both photos, the former Disney darling had her signature brunette hair lightened with blonde highlights.
Opting for a semi-formal style, the "Wolves" singer wore a black tank top or tee underneath a black tweed blazer with a delicate silver trim. She completed her look with smokey eye makeup, peach blush-on and nude lipstick.
While Selena looked stunning with her new blonde hair, some people were left confused with her alleged different face. "I would not have known that was Selena Gomez," one person commented on the pictures, which have been reposted on social media.
"Is this photoshopped?" a second asked. "Her face changed shape again," a third claimed. "There is something strange about her face, but I don't know what it is," said another user, as another claimed that Selena was "Almost unrecognizable" in the photos.
Some fans, however, have come to Selena's defense, with one clapping back at the critics, "so every time she loses weight everyone is going to say that she has surgery and has 'a new face' even when we all know she has lupus?"
Echoing the sentiment, another defender said, "Every time y’all see new pictures it's all picking apart how different she looks. How many times she need to tell y'all she is on various medications for her lupus/transplant. Every time her swelling starts to go down and her face starts to go back you ask dumb questions."
Selena has not responded to the criticisms over her new look. Meanwhile, over on her feed, she shared several throwback photos with her "Only Murders in the Building" co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, dubbing themselves "trio."
