The Duke of Sussex reportedly refuses to watch the new season of the hit Netflix series which will feature his and brother Prince William's mother Princess Diana's tragic death back in 1997.

AceShowbiz - Prince Harry isn't going to tune into the upcoming sixth and final season of "The Crown". According to a new report, the Duke of Sussex refuses to watch the new season of the hit Netflix series which will feature Princess Diana's tragic death.

A source tells Page Six that the son of Princess Diana and King Charles will not be watching the upcoming season and the scenes featuring the late royals' death. "Due to the sensitive nature of content in upcoming episodes of 'The Crown', Prince Harry has understandably decided not to view this season," the source explains.

Despite Harry's refusal to watch the final season of the hit series, the source stresses, "There are no ill feelings towards the show's creators or Netflix." It is also said that the Sussexes are not involved in any way with the series as they're "not consulted by anyone affiliated with the series or Netflix," and were not sent storylines or advance episodes for approval or discussion.

The new season, which first part arrived on November 16, features the last days of Diana prior to his death in a car crash on August 31, 1997 alongside her boyfriend and film producer Dodi Fayed. The show also bizarrely depicts Princess Diana as a ghost who talks to her ex-husband Prince Charles (Dominic West) and her mother-in-law Queen Elizabeth (Imelda Staunton).

It also sees how Harry, portrayed by Fflyn Edwards, reacts to the news of his mom's death. He can be seen waking up in bed as his older brother Prince William (Rufus Kampa) watches on.

Another scene that the Duke of Sussex may find triggering is a scene showing Diana and Harry having their final conversation. Harry was only 12 when his mom died.

While the first four episodes of "The Crown" have been available to stream on Netflix, the remaining six episodes are set to arrive on December 14.
