AceShowbiz - Jason Momoa apparently believes he has an important role in Zoe Kravitz's relationship with Channing Tatum which is said to have been taken to the next level. The 44-year-old hunk reportedly wants to "take credit" for his former stepdaughter's engagement to the "Magic Mike" star.

After news broke that Zoe has possibly got engaged to Channing after two years of dating, the "Game of Thrones" alum is reportedly "thrilled" and "beyond happy" for the couple. A source tells Daily Mail, "Jason is beyond happy about Zoe and Channing's engagement."

Of Jason's close relationship with his estranged wife Lisa Bonet's daughter Zoe and Channing, whom Jason has allegedly considered "family," the source spills, "Zoe is a daughter to him and Channing has been one of his best friends for years, long before [Zoe] was dating [him.]"

For that reason, the Aquaman depicter in the DC Extended Universe allegedly feels "like he helped bring the lovebirds together." The source claims, "Jason can't help but try to take credit for their engagement."

Despite her mom's split from Jason in 2022, Zoe apparently still maintains a good relationship with the "Dune" star. "Zoe looks up to Jason like a father, and Jason and [her biological father] Lenny Kravitz are also close. It's a very modern family situation," the source adds. "To welcome Channing into their family is the best things ever because he already considers him family. The entire family is thrilled and looking forward to an epic wedding."

Zoe and Channing first sparked the engagement rumors after she sported what appeared to be an engagement ring when she attended a star-studded Halloween party with her boyfriend on Saturday, October 28. The Selina Kyle/Catwoman depicter in Matt Reeves' "The Batman" could be seen wearing a silver band that came with a sparkling huge diamond on that finger as she was holding hands with the "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" star.

PEOPLE later reported on Monday that multiple sources confirmed the pair have been engaged recently.
