AceShowbiz - Navy may need to brace for a new era of Rihanna. Having taken a step back in her music career to build her new family with A$AP Rocky, the mother of two is said to have been preparing for a comeback tour with a potential release of new music.
A source tells The Mirror that the Barbadian beauty has landed a £32 million ($38.9 million) deal with Live Nation for a major comeback tour for 2024/2025. She additionally already has new material worth of two albums.
"Rihanna is quietly planning a comeback tour after signing with Live Nation," the so-called insider tells the site. "The deal was created to facilitate a world tour and her creative team is quietly at work in Los Angeles putting it all together as she raises her family."
The 35-year-old reportedly will sign off on the tour once she is ready to go back to work. "She'll press play on the live show once she's ready to go back to work and has two albums' worth of material to release once she's back," the source adds.
Rih gave birth to her first son with A$AP Rocky in 2022. They named their firstborn RZA Athelaston Mayers after Wu-Tang Clan leader and founder RZA.
On February 12, 2023, during the Super Bowl LVII halftime show performance, the Fenty Beauty founder revealed her pregnancy with her second child. The baby was born at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on August 1 and named Riot Rose. In September, the pair gave first look at their second child via their respective Instagram page.
Rihanna's last album "Anti" was release in 2016. In October 2022, she dropped a single titled "Lift Me Up" from the "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" soundtrack.
In an interview with British Vogue released in February of this year and conducted ahead of her Super Bowl halftime show, Rih expressed her desire to release her new album sooner than later. "I want it to be this year," she told the magazine, referring to her album's release date.
She added, "Like, honestly, it'd be ridiculous if it's not this year. But I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos." However, as the magazine noted, when Rihanna said it, she was "at this stage very much unaware she is pregnant again."
