AceShowbiz - Season 24 of "The Voice" entered a new round in the Tuesday, October 17 episode. After wrapping up "Blind Auditions", the show began its "Battle Rounds" whereas coaches Niall Horan, John Legend, Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani had their singers going head-to-head.

The first battle of the season were Deejay Young and Ephraim Owens from Team John. They sang "Cry Me a River" by Justin Timberlake for their Battle Rounds. Deejay showcased pitch command and smooth range runs during the performance, while Ephraim wowed the coaches with his solid tones. It was hard for John to pick one of them, but he eventually picked Deejay as the winner.

Following it up were Jordan Rainer and Jackson Snelling from Team Reba. The two singers hit the stage to sing Reba's "A Heart Won't Lie" together because she thought they could "add depth" to a song. Niall loved how Jordan tackled a true country song, while John said he would choose Jackson for his "inviting" tones. Reba eventually had to make a hard choice and named Jordan as the winner.

Team Niall's Tanner Massey and Lennon Vanderdoes were up next, singing "She's Always a Woman" by Billy Joel. Gwen was impressed by the two singers as she praised Lennon's unique voice and Tanner's magical tone. John liked both of them, but "leaned ever so slightly" toward Tanner. After much consideration, Niall made Lennon the winner.

John and Gwen later made the first steal attempt by hitting their buttons for Tanner. John said that he loved the way he "carried himself on stage," while Gwen told Tanner that he clearly had more to show. Tanner eventually decided to join Team Gwen.
