AceShowbiz - "The Summer I Turned Pretty" star Gavin Casalegno may want to be more careful with his social media activity. The actor landed in hot fire after he was caught liking a controversial post on Instagram.

The said post, which many deemed misogynistic and pro anti-vaxx, featured a meme of Joe Rogan looking surprised. Masculinerevival, the original poster, wrote over the clip, "When you find out she's unvaxxed, not a feminist, loves the Lord, and aspires to be a wife, mother and homemaker."

After learning that Gavin was among those who liked the post, Internet users quickly took to social media to share their thoughts on the actor's views on what he perceived as an ideal partner. "Has he seen his face in the f**king mirror? His musty a** should be thankful women go for his kind of men," an X user blasted Gavin.

"This is embarrassing for his stans. Omg y'all lost bad. Condolences," another mocked his fans. "WOAHHH i didn't know he was conservative…," someone else added. One other claimed that they were "not shocked" since Gavin "liked a lot of pro israel posts too."

However, some others came to Gavin's defense. "That's called having a preference," one noted. Another criticized the haters, saying, "Lmfao bruh yall find anything to get a celebrity in drama he's a person and has his own opinions let him be yall reaching and need a life."

"Me being all those lol. That's not misogynistic. It's having a difference of opinion which y'all can never accept anymore," another echoed the sentiment. "those qualifies are misogyny?!!! Yall are bugging. Not a feminist and loves her religion and aspire to be a good wife is misogyny?!!! No wonder why western society is collapsing," one other wrote.

There were also fans who brought up Gavin's character Jeremiah on "The Summer I Turned Pretty". "I was always team Conrad anyways. Jeremiah always gave me the ick but it's nice to see he isn't so different from his character also what's the unvaxxed thing? I thought we all got vaccinated cause we had to?
