NLE Choppa extended his support for Sexyy Red. Knowing that the femcee has been treated poorly by fans, especially while she was onstage, the Memphis native encouraged people to stop hating her and embrace the femcee instead.
"Man, I keep seeing the hate that y'all have on my girl Sexyy Red," NLE Choppa began in a video shared on Twitter. "I'm just a real supporter, a real fan, I love her energy and I love her music personally. Man, y'all need to stop doing people like that, treating people like that. Y'all not gone always hear something that y'all accustomed to or use to. Y'all need people like Sexyy Red to create a balance from serious to shit that you can have fun to."
"Y'all need to stop doing that girl like that. That s**t ain't right because at the end of the day, she got a child, she feeding her child, she making money and making sure that her baby straight. That's all that matters," the emcee continued. 'Y'all don't know that girl, y'all ain't met her. I'm just sticking up for her because I ain't seen nobody else round this muthaf**ka sticking up for her, showing her all this love."
Not stopping there, NLE Choppa emphasized, "Y'all need to stop treating people like that. Like for real. Why our own community gotta tear down our own people? Why we can't embrace her? Why we can't understand where she come from? Why we can't understand her music the same way we'll understand somebody else music? Any other male music?" He then concluded, "Ya'll do males like that too, but it's mainly the women."
NLE Choppa's post arrived as Sexyy Red received a string of "hate" recently. One moment in particular was when she was thrown a wad of cash by someone during her gig at the Wild Mustang Gentleman's Club in Detroit. In response, she said, "Aye, b***h, stop hitting me with the money, b***h, I'm not gon' keep telling y'all that."
XXL further reported that Sexyy Red left the stage at Lyrical Lemonade's 2023 Summer Smash in Chicago earlier in June. It happened after someone continued to hurl items at her while she performed.
