After his voicemail in which he furiously shouted, 'f**k you and suck my d**k,' was unraveled, the 'Saturday Night Live' alum insists that he was 'standing up for myself and my family.'

AceShowbiz - Pete Davidson was unapologetic for his explicit voicemail to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). After his phone rant to Senior Vice President of Cruelty Investigations Daphna Nachminovitch was unraveled, the "Saturday Night Live" alum stressed that he is "not sorry."

Addressing the issue at hand, the 29-year-old comedian said in a statement to TMZ, "I am upset. It was a poor choice of words." While admitting that he "shouldn't have said" what he said, he stressed, "I am not sorry for standing up for myself and my family."

On the reason behind his fury, Pete explained, "I haven't seen my mom and sister cry like that in over 20 years. I was trying to cheer up my family." He added, "I was already upset that the store had filmed me without my permission or acknowledgement. Then this organization (PETA) made a public example of us, making our grieving situation worse."

In his defense, the former fiance of Ariana Grande claimed that he did not know that it was possible to "adopt a specific hypoallergenic dog." Additionally, he argued that he was informed that "it wasn't an option, and if it was, it was rare."

Pete was criticized by PETA for choosing to buy a dog in a pet store instead of adopting. "It's tragic that Pete did not seek out a borough-born mutt from a city animal shelter," Daphna told TMZ in reaction to the spotting of Pete dog shopping at pet store Citipups in New York City.

"Because a scrappy New Yorker with charm, personality, and unconventional handsomeness could have been his perfect match," Daphna continued. "Since shelters in New York and across the country are overflowing with homeless animals, PETA urges Pete to show some big heart energy by adopting, not shopping, in the future."

Pete responded to Daphna's statement by sending her a furious voicemail, which was obtained by Page Six, on Monday, June 5. "My mom's f**king dog who is 2 years old died a week before so we're all so sad, so I had to get a specific dog," he reportedly ranted in the voicemail, as referring to his family dog, Henry, that died in early May.

"The King of Staten Island" actor further noted that the dog was bought for his mother and that he is "severely allergic to dogs." He went on to berate Daphna by saying, "So why don't you do your research before you f**king create news stories for people because you’re boring… F**k you and suck my d**k."
