AceShowbiz - Candace Cameron Bure has clapped back at claims that she lies about not eating fast food except for In-N-Out in the last 20 years. The "Fuller House" actress' representative responds to the accusation after Internet sleuths found a picture that might prove she lied about her eating habits.
"Candace told me that she drove her son to get food at Chick-fil-A and she only ordered an iced tea for herself. Candace is only holding a cup," the representative told Insider in a statement on Friday, May 19. The rep went on to call the claims that Candace was lying were "untrue" and "ridiculous."
The said proof was a selfie of Cameron enjoying takeout from Chick-fil-A in her car with one of her kids in 2012. "We love chikin!" Candace, who shares daughter Natasha, 24, and sons Lev, 23, and Maksim, 21, with her husband, Valeri Bure, captioned the since-deleted Instagram selfie.
A Twitter user said upon seeing the picture, "Perhaps Candace Cameron Bure shouldn't say that she hasn't eaten fast food in 20 years because that's a blatant lie. She bought Chick Fil A in 2012." Another questioned, "@candacecbure this you?"
The digging came after Candace revealed on Instagram that she has "never" tried Taco Bell and hasn't eaten fast food in the last two decades. "I haven't eaten fast food except for In-N-Out in 20 years," the 47-year-old star shared on Instagram Story on May 16. "Some days I wonder what a burger and fries is like from McDonalds or Burger King or Wendy's or any of those other places I've never eaten at. Today is that day. Am I going to find out? No."
In a separate post, the "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries" alum went on to say, "And no, I've never had Taco Bell or anything similar. I don't regret it. You can't convince me otherwise."
