Nearly two weeks after the coronation of King Charles III, the Duchess of Sussex becomes the guest of honor at the NYC ceremony to receive the Women of Vision award.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle made her first notable public appearance after skipping King Charles' May 6 coronation. Nearly two weeks after passing up on attending the royal ceremony, the Duchess of Sussex showed up at the Ms. Foundation gala in New York City alongside her royal husband Prince Harry.

On Tuesday night, May 16, the 41-year-old came to the event held at Ziegfeld Ballroom in Manhattan as a guest of honor. Arriving also with her mother Doria Ragland, she was there to receive the Women of Vision Award from Gloria Steinem, the co-founder of Ms. Foundation for Women.

Meghan was presented with the honor in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the country's oldest women's charity. Gloria declared that the award was to honor the former actress' "global advocacy to empower and advocate on behalf of women and girls."

For the occasion, Meghan looked stunning in an all-gold ensemble. The mother of two opted to wear a strapless quilted gold midi dress that was designed by Joanna Ortiz with a knee-length slit and a small cutout on the front part. She completed her look with a pair of gold hoop earrings and a few sparkling bracelets.

Meghan also carried a matching Carolina Herrera clutch bag and wore a pair of matching open-toe Tom Ford heels. Adding a touch of elegance to her look, she styled her long dark hair in loose waves, parting it to the side.

Meghan's husband, Harry, sported a navy blue blazer and a pair of fitted matching pants. Under the blazer, the Duke of Sussex wore a long-sleeved white button-up shirt with a light blue tie. He completed the look with a pair of glossy black shoes.

Meghan's appearance at the gala came more than ten days after King Charles was formally crowned. Missing out on the special occasion, she was spotted going for a hike that same day. While her husband was present in London, she was seen hiking with her friends Markus Anderson and Heather Dorak Markle.
