AceShowbiz - Lil Durk is gearing up for new music. On Friday, May, the "Laugh Now or Cry Later" hitmaker unveiled the release date and cover art of his new album, "Almost Healed".

The black-and-white picture, which was shared on Instagram, saw the 30-year-old emcee standing next to a group of people whose faces were blurry. "Y'all won," he told his fans. "100k comments. May 12th. Pre save now. {link in bio}."

The album was initially titled "The Voice 2.0". He once opened up about the record in his Spring 2023 XXL cover story interview. "Growth," he said of his vision for the album. "That's what the 2.0 stand for, just be on another level."

Just not only music-wise, like the things around me like I told you, growing from the friends around me, management. Sitting with the mayor," he further elaborated. "We doin' big charity things. Neighborhood Heroes, the foundation I got."

"So, we just doing different things," the Chicago-born artist continued. " 'Cause if you say you The Voice, it's like, OK, you The Voice of the Streets, so what happened? What you do? I did this, this, cool. OK, now what you do for the kids? Nah'm sayin'? So, now we just breaking it down. So, we doing this, we doing this, we doing this. The announcement arrived days after Durk declared that he has been blackballed. "I been doing this s**t black balled," he penned on Instagram Story alongside a crying laughing emoji.

Durk didn't give much context to his post, leaving fans confused. One person in particular asked, "how is he blackballed with the whole industry on his albums with mainstream features." Another assumed, "He's obviously trolling."
