AceShowbiz - Jamie Foxx managed to keep a positive attitude despite his health issues. In his first post since his long-term hospitalization, the "Django Unchained" actor gushed about being "blessed."
On Wednesday, May 3, the 55-year-old Hollywood star shared a note that read, "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed." He added emojis of praying hands, a red heart and a fox.
Meanwhile, on Instagram Story, Jamie gave a shout-out to Nick Cannon for taking over his role as a host on "Beat Shazam". Reposting the show's announcement, he said, "Appreciate ya my boy @NickCannon. See u all soon."
The statement itself read, "This season, not wanting fans of the game show to miss a minute of the fun, Nick Cannon has offered to fill in as guest host for his friends, Jamie and Corinne Foxx." It added, "Kelly Osbourne will be filling in as DJ."
"Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery," it further stated. "And we greatly appreciate Nick's willingness to jump in and help this summer."
Jamie's daughter Corinne revealed on April 12 that the actor has been hospitalized in Georgia after experiencing what she described as a "medical complication" one day before. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery," she said in a statement at the time. "We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."
Later that month, a source told PEOPLE that Jamie was "OK." The source added, "He's still in the hospital and doctors are running tests, but he's awake and alert. They're keeping him under observation."
However, on Monday, May 1, Jamie's friend Charlie Mack sparked concern among fans by sharing an alarming post. "Pray for Foxx!!!!!!!!!!" he penned, while adding in the caption, "Good morning IG, I need you all to constantly keep our beloved brotha @iamjamiefoxx up whom we all [love] & care for dearly in our Hearts, Minds & Prayers!!!! We need you back Bro @iamjamiefoxx you're fighter, strong & resilient so I know your fortitude. Your not going out like that."
