The 'Boy's a Liar Pt. 2' raptress is among the big stars attending the highly anticipated fashion event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art after allegedly being personally invited by Anna Wintour.

AceShowbiz - Ice Spice made her Met Gala debut after reportedly receiving an invite to be the special guest of Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour at the annual event. The "Munch" raptress was among the big stars attending the highly anticipated fashion event in New York City on Monday, May 1.

For the occasion, which took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the 23-year-old femcee wore a simple, yet elegant, body-hugging white sequined Balmain gown in honor of this year's theme, "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty". She additionally traded her signature orange curls for a super-sleek, straightened look.

"I'm just so grateful, I'm so happy to be here. You know, I was like really nervous approaching the carpet. And once I heard everybody screaming, I felt better," Ice Spice told Met Gala red carpet host La La Anthony. The "In Ha Mood" hitmaker, who also showed off her bedazzled vintage camera, explained that she was looking forward to all of the photos she would take tonight.

According to TMZ, Anna personally invited the "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2" raptress after the musician partnered with Vogue and eBay on an iconic designer's collection, which was announced during the Met Gala's live-streamed red carpet. The rapper confirmed the collaboration in a video posted to social media on April 30.

"Hi, It's Ice Spice and I'm partnering with Vogue and eBay for a very special announcement coming to you on the first Monday in May. Join me for fashion's biggest night out. You do not want to miss this. Stay tuned," she said in the clip.

Upon learning about Ice Spice's debut at Met Gala, fans could not help but feel happy for her over the milestone. Getting an invite to the event isn't an easy thing considering the fact that Ice Spice only dropped her first two songs, "Bully Freestyle" and "Clarity", in 2021.

"Ice Spice eating up the Met Gala, two Top 10 hits this year, a [Nicki Minaj] collab, shes showing the girls the true definition of 'flourishing,' " one fan gushed. "Getting invited to the Met Gala less than a year into your career and before your debut album is crazy," someone else added.

Another excited fan wrote, "So proud of her, so early in her career and she's been invited to the Met Gala, Ice Spice deserves this idc."
