The former professional boxer offers a clarification via his Instagram Story by sharing a photo of him wearing a black-and-yellow outfit and iced-out chains.

AceShowbiz - Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has responded to rumors suggesting he wore a $1 million hat at the Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia fight. When setting the record straight in a social media post, the former professional boxer revealed the real price of his accessory.

Making use of Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 26, the 46-year-old shared a photo of him wearing a black-and-yellow outfit and iced-out chains. He paired it with a black hat that featured the logo of his brand, "The Money Team".

Alongside the snap, Floyd wrote, "I don't know who started the rumor that my hat was a million dollars but it was 30k." In a follow-up post, he penned, "30k is still a pricey number for a SnapBack."

Many have since reacted to Floyd's clarification. One person assumed, "he just wanted to tell us how much it was," while another replied, "Weird flex ain't nobody started that dayum rumor." A third echoed the sentiment, "I don't know who started the rumor either cuz I didn't hear none about it."

Someone else was seemingly unimpressed as they wrote, "so so tired of flex culture. we get it, you're rich!" A different individual sarcastically responded, "Thanks for the clarification Floyd, my life is so much better now because of it."

Floyd might be bragging about his wealth, but he didn't forget to give back to those who are in need. In December 2022, he gave a group of five kids $1,000 each as an early Christmas gift.

According to TMZ Sports, the "Dancing with the Stars" alum handed out the cash following the Clippers' 113-93 victory over the Celtics at Crypto.com Arena. The kids looked so grateful as they said in a video re-shared by Hollywood Unlocked, "Thank you, Uncle Floyd!"

"You always help us out when we see you," one of the kids said to the camera. The other one then exclaimed, "We love you, Floyd."
