The 'Murder Mystery' actress and her former husband also share a tender hug when reuniting for a late night dinner with their longtime friends Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux reunited for a dinner with friends in New York. The former spouses, who have maintained a good relationship since their split in 2017, were seen enjoying a late night meal with longtime pals Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka on Saturday, April 22.

In pictures obtained by Daily Mail, Jennifer arrived to the restaurant II Cantinori solo. There, she met up with Justin, Jason and his wife Amanda. The "Friends" alum and her ex-husband shared a warm embrace and then he sat down across from her as they enjoyed their meal as a group. He was seen looking at her attentively during their meal.

Later when leaving the restaurant, the 54-year-old actress was seen holding one single rose in her hand and her umbrella. She went low-key in a black cardigan and matching trousers with boots and a handbag in the same color during the outing.

Justin cut a casual figure in a dark green jacket, jeans and boots while sporting his signature heavy beard. Jason and his wife Amanda, meanwhile, went color coordinating in black outfits as they appeared to be in good spirits, smiling while he put a protective arm around his wife when entering the restaurant.

Jennifer and Justin began dating in May 2011 and became engaged in August 2012. They got married three years later, in August 2015, at their home in the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles which they purchased in January 2012. They, however, separated at the end of 2017 after only two years of marriage. Since then, they have remained friends.

Opening up about their heartbreaking split, Justin told The New York Times in 2018 that it was "kind of the most gentle separation, in that there was no animosity" between them. "It was heartbreaking, only in the sense that the friendship would not be the same, as far as just the day to day," the former "The Leftovers" actor explained. "But the friendship is shifting and changing, you know, so that part is something that we're both very proud of."
