AceShowbiz - B. Simone is mourning the death of her ex-boyfriend, Chris Smith. Upon learning of the NFL player's death on Monday, April 17, the comedienne took to social media to offer her final tribute to him.
The Dallas native honored her former partner by writing on Instagram Story on Tuesday, "Life is precious." She followed it up with a post that read, "One of the ONLY things in life that is promised, is death. Love on people when they are physically here, and if you truly love them cover them in prayer."
"God is a God of no mistakes even when you are grieving or hurt. Trust him. He won't fail you," it added. B. Simone then unleashed a touching video of One Voice Worship choir singing "Not In a Hurry."
B. Simone and Chris dated for a few months in 2021, with the "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'n Out" star confirming their romance in April after months of speculation. The exes reportedly called it quits in July after he allegedly cheated on her.
As B. Simone turned 31, Chris was still by her side. When expressing her gratitude on her birthday, she wrote, "To my family, my friends and to the love of my life … Thank you for making this the best birthday ever. My heart is so full and I haven't been this happy in a long time."
Chris, who was a former defensive lineman for the Cleveland Browns, passed away at the age of 31. His cause of death, however, remains unknown.
In the wake of his passing, the Browns paid tribute to the late athlete via Twitter. "Chris was one of the kindest people, teammates and friends we've had in our organization," the team penned.
