The British actor, who has yet to confirm his split from the 'All Too Well' singer, reportedly will star alongside Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones in a new movie called 'The Brutalist'.

AceShowbiz - Joe Alwyn might be going through a heartbreak following his split from Taylor Swift, but he doesn't let it stop him from focusing on work. It was unveiled that the British heartthrob just landed a new movie role after the two's breakup.

According to a press release on Tuesday, April 11, the 32-year-old landed a role in a movie called "The Brutalist". Directed by Brady Corbet, the drama will chronicle "thirty years of an artist's life and his enduring creative journey" after he leaves post-war Europe and flees to America.

Joe will star alongside Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones as well as Guy Pearce. The filming is reportedly already underway in Hungary.

As for Taylor, she is currently busy with her "The Eras Tour". She was caught on a public outing on April 10 since the breakup news emerged. At that time, the singer/songwriter was spotted stepping out for dinner in New York's West Village with longtime music collaborator, Jack Antonoff.

Entertainment Tonight first reported that Taylor and Joe split after six years of dating. According to the outlet, the split was amicable and "it was not dramatic." A source told the site, "The relationship had just run its course... It's why [Joe] hasn't been spotted at any shows." Page Six added that the pair broke up "a few weeks ago."

Meanwhile, a source close to them informed PEOPLE that the split was largely caused by "differences in their personalities." The source explained, "They've had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together," but "ultimately" the Grammy winner and the British actor "weren't the right fit for one another."

Other sources told Daily Mail that their career differences caused a rift in the relationship. "The bottom line for the difficulties in their relationship was that Taylor's career took priority over Joe's - which can be awkward for a couple when it's not balanced," the source argued.

"This drove them apart and ultimately, they both realized they were not on the same page anymore," it's further claimed. "It's been hard for Joe trying to make it in Hollywood and not quite becoming leading man material while dating one of the most famous women in the world over the last six years."
