The 'Jesus, Take the Wheel' songstress showed off her muscular physique in bedazzling shorts when attending the 2023 CMT Music Awards, but some social media users are not into it.

AceShowbiz - Carrie Underwood has surely put a lot of hard work to stay in shape. The 40-year-old country music superstar showed off her fit physique when attending the 2023 CMT Music Awards over the weekend, but it has since drawn mixed responses from fans.

For the Sunday, April 2 event, the mother of two rocked a Dolce & Gabbana rhinestone jacket and shorts, which showed off her extremely toned legs. The day after the show, she took to Instagram to share her images form the event and shared her feelings about the night.

"I had a great time last night at the #CMTAwards," she wrote, although she failed to bring home any awards despite her two nominations. "here's some pics to prove it!" she added. "Thanks to everyone who voted! I want you to know that I saw you guys and how hard you were all working...it really meant a lot!!!"

Some of her followers, however, were distracted by her muscular legs, with one commenting, "Carrie your legs don't look right too pumped up!" Another weighed in, "Her legs look normal in the 2nd picture but not in the first picture. Odd."

A third thought that Carrie did leg exercises a little too much, writing, "I know she works hard for those legs, but sometimes people take it to extremes, maybe do some calf raises." A fourth agreed as saying, "She is beautiful but is she going into a body building competition? Those legs are a little much!" Another remarked, "Too many leg days."

There were others who disagreed with the critics though, including Khloe Kardashian who gushed, "Wow!!! Your legs are incredible!!" Another opined, "Best legs in the business! I'm so jealous! Lol." Another fan quipped, "Those legs are surely registered WEAPONS ~ WOW!!!"

Her physical appearance aside, Carrie also received backlash for taking part in an event which supported LGBTQ+ community. During the show, Kelsea Ballerini performed "If You Go Down (I’m Goin' Down Too)" with "RuPaul's Drag Race" contestants joining her onstage.

Many conservatives have slammed the show for being too "woke." One person commented on Carrie's post, "Did you have fun at the drag show?! I bet you did! I have lost respect for country artists!" A second critic claimed, "Couldn't watch the woke awards," while another added, "I hope you speak up to what's happening to real country music in the industry. Music is getting to woke."
