AceShowbiz - Cardi B is staying true to herself. The "Bodak Yellow" raptress has insisted that she has no regrets about her first shocking face tattoo despite the permanent ink left her fans disappointed.
The 30-year-old New York native raptress turned to her Twitter account on Thursday, March 2 to gush over the artwork, which spells out her one-year-old son's name, Wave, in red ink on her jaw. Along with the close-up image of the tattoo, she said, "I love my face tatt," adding a red heart emoji.
The said image was taken from Cardi and husband Offset's recent McDonald's collaboration. In the photo, the "I Like It" femcee looked incredible in a halter neck white gown with crystal details and had her black tresses pulled into a chic updo, revealing the cursive body art.
Cardi decided to add new artwork to her already extensive tattoo collection last year. At the time, the one who revealed that Cardi got her jaw tattooed was her tattoo artist, Robinson De Los Santos.
Robinson first posted a video of himself creating the hip-hop artist's newest piece. In the short clip, the artist could be seen laying down red ink on the side of the rap star's face near her jawline. "Today's work Cardi B," he captioned his post in Spanish. The raptress later posed for a photo with the tattoo artist showing off the finished product, but the new ink was still not fully visible.
In the comment section of Robinson's post, many of Cardi's fans asked why she tattooed her "beautiful face." One person wrote, "Say it isn't so...You marked up that BEAUTIFUL face," with another simply asking, "Why?" A third commented, "Damn offset why would you let your wife do that????" Someone else said, "Cardi wants to get publicity poor thing. Tf wrong with her."
Cardi first unveiled her plans to get her face tattooed in January last year. At the time, the "WAP" raptress told her fans that she wanted to get a new ink of her second child's name on her face. "Random but ….I'm 1% close too tatting my sons name on my face….I really really wanna do it!" she tweeted.
