The 'All of Me' hitmaker, who already shares six-year-old daughter Luna and four-year-old son Miles with his model wife, says he's so grateful as the love expands in the house after welcoming their new bundle of joy.

AceShowbiz - John Legend couldn't be more grateful for the arrival of his newborn daughter. One month after welcoming baby Esti Maxine Stephens with wife Chrissy Teigen, the "All of Me" hitmaker said he felt "emotional" on their first days as a family of five.

"It was making me emotional the first two nights we were home because I just felt the love expand in the house," the 44-year-old musician told The Wall Street Journal in an interview. "And I felt the excitement."

Earlier this month, John opened up about how he's trying to be as hands-on as possible with the newborn so Chrissy can get some rest. "Obviously I can't breastfeed her, so I help feed when we use the bottle. I'm happy to change diapers. I'm good at burping her, too," he gushed when speaking to PEOPLE.

"I just started singing to her a little bit. Chrissy's good at lullabies, too," the father of three further elaborated. "I try to help as much as I can, you know, to give Chrissy a break."

John confirmed Esti's arrival when during a performance at a private concert on January 13. Noting that he and his wife welcomed "the little baby this morning," he added, "What a blessed day... [I]didn't get a lot of sleep [but] felt energized".

When speaking about the baby's name, John told E! News, "It turns out, my great-grandmother was named Esther. It wasn't intentionally after someone, but once Chrissy told me that idea, I was like, 'Oh, my great-grandmother's name was Esther.' " He continued, "We wanted to already name her middle name Maxine after my grandmother, whose middle name was Maxine. So, it's a lot of my family in the name."
