AceShowbiz - Madonna wants the world to know that she is aging backwards. The 64-year-old Queen of Pop proudly flaunts her wrinkle-free face in a new creepy video after her youthful 2023 Grammy Awards appearance raised eyebrows.
The "Like a Virgin" hitmaker turned to Instagram on Monday, February 7 to give fans another glimpse at her Grammys look after facing backlash for continuously changing her appearance. In a video, she could be seen walking slowly toward the camera as she hit a whip against the palm of her hand.
For the footage, Madge paired the strange accessory with the same outfit she wore for the music awards ceremony, including a black blazer dress, maxi skirt and white collared shirt. The "Material Girl" singer, as usual, spiced things up with a black tie, fishnet tights and a futuristic braided hairdo. "And the Winner is…," the pop icon captioned the short clip, which was set to the song "Baddest of Them All" by Eliza Rose and Interplanetary Criminal.
Madonna appeared on the award-giving event to introduce Sam Smith and Kim Petras for their controversial performance of "Unholy" on Sunday night. However, it wasn't her outfit that fans were focused on during music's biggest night as fans flocked to social media to comment on the superstar's "new face."
"Me attempting to ignore the fact that Madonna has a whole new face. #GRAMMYs," one Twitter user wrote, adding a meme video of Adele looking confused at a basketball game. "Has Madonna been nominated for 'Best New Face' at this year's Grammy Awards?" another user quipped.
Someone else weighed in, "That is not the Madonna I grew up with. This is a lesson for all, embrace aging." Another said, "I could barely recognize Madonna at the Grammys," while a different user said they believed Madonna covered her neck to hide her neck lines, writing, "Madonna is so smart. She covered her neck so she doesn't look old lol."
Prior to this, renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Ehsan Ali listed all the procedures he thinks Madonna has had done, including a facelift, nose job and filler. Although the seven-time Grammy winner has yet to comment on the criticism, she is no stranger when it comes to facing backlash over her strange social media posts.
