AceShowbiz - Lizzo has met her dupe. On Tuesday, January 31, the "About Damn Time" hitmaker offered fans the first look at her new Madame Tussauds wax figure in some new clips she posted on her social media accounts.
In a video she shared on Twitter, the raptress jokingly showed her fans "what a twosome with Lizzo is like." The clip featured her trying to lock lips with the wax figure.
Before she could actually kiss it, Lizzo screamed and moved away as soon as she laid her eyes on her "twin." The "Truth Hurts" singer described the experience, "Single-handedly one of the most terrifyingly meta moments of my life."
She also shared a short video on TikTok. The footage saw her excitedly posing with her wax figure, who donned a beautiful white dress. "Introducing… WAXXO," she captioned the post.
In addition, the official Instagram account of Madame Tussauds U.S.A. treated fans to a slew of pictures of Lizzo with the new statue. "It's About Damn Time! Lizzo's new wax figure is here," the account cheekily wrote in the caption.
Upon catching wind of the news, fans had mixed responses to the new wax figure. Some were not satisfied with the results with one commenting, "Y'all didn't do her justice at all. The whole side indents weren't necessary..at all. I know Lizzo is a big girl, but why would y'all do that. And that outfit is horrible. Of all the things you could have picked.. why this outfit? I don't know how many plus sized wax figures y'all have done, but this is a NO for me.. I'm very disappointed."
"Her wax figure looks older in the face. I think it's here eye area. She is very pretty though!!!" one person added. However, some others thought the museum did a great job. "Wow this looks Great!!!" someone raved. Another fan commented, "What? Even your statue is gorgeous!"
