AceShowbiz - Gunna could have still hosted a charity event in partnership with Goodr now that he's out of jail, but Walmart decided to cancel the event. The retailer reportedly had to make the decision due to security concerns.

Gunna announced his partnership with Goodr just hours after he was released from prison on Wednesday. Now that the event was scrapped, he wouldn't meet the pre-registered 1,000 local families who were supposed to receive a $100 gift card at the retail giant.

The "Pushin P" rapper has yet to address the issue. However, Goodr, a sustainable waste management and hunger relief company, has voiced its disappointment. by saying, "Goodr was saddened to learn of Walmart’s decision to cancel the 5th Annual Gunna’s Great Giveaway event today. Gunna and the entire Goodr team were looking forward to brightening the holidays of the 1,000 families that registered."

"We are aware of how much the promised gifts meant to those families and we are collectively working to find an alternate solution," the message added. "Registered families will be updated about the event’s status. Goodr apologizes for any inconvenience this unexpected turn of events has caused."

Gunna got his freedom back after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. However, some people, including Freddie Gibbs, Wack 100 and Boosie Badazz (Lil Boosie), speculated that the emcee snitched on his incarcerated friends to secure his release. The rumors have been denied by his lawyer.
