According to jeweler Alex Moss, Champagne Papi's new necklace called 'Previous Engagements' is made of 42 diamonds 'for the 42 engagement rings he 'almost' proposed with.'

AceShowbiz - Drake was so close to walking down the aisle more than a dozen of times. While it cannot be denied that he currently still enjoys his status as an eligible bachelor, there were apparently many times the rapper contemplated asking women to marry him.

Drizzy's new necklace reportedly reflects this. According to jeweler Alex Moss, the "Hotline Bling" hitmaker's custom piece of necklace is "titled 'Previous Engagements' for all the times he thought about it but never did it."

Alex took to his Instagram page and Story to give a close look at the stunning necklace. It was made of 42 diamonds of different shapes for "the 42 engagement rings he 'almost' proposed with."

"Bordering the impossible," a female voiceover said in the clip that showed the necklace from various angles. "An expedition spanning 14 months, every diamond hand selected, inspected to only suit perfection."

"This monumental art piece was assembled using 351.38 carats of diamonds mounted in 18k white gold," she continued explaining. "Each stone meticulously set, utilizing the eagle claw technique. 'Previous Engagements' for all the times he thought about it but never did. A true wonder of the jewelry world. Presented by Alex Moss New York and Drake," the voice concluded.

Alex additionally revealed that it took 14 months to complete the stunning art piece, which was built by hand in New York City. "The entire project took 14 months to complete top to bottom, and was built by hand in New York City," he told E! News on Tuesday, December 13. "It was made using 18k white gold, and was set using the eagle claw technique."

The jeweler would not disclose the price though. "No other details can be disclosed, other than the fact that this is the most insane chain ever made," he added.

Drake has not personally explained the sentimental meaning behind his new necklace. He was seen wearing it for the first time at Lil Baby's birthday concert in Atlanta last Saturday, December 10 at State Farm Arena.
