AceShowbiz - Mark Curry had two hotel staffers in Colorado suspended. Just days after he posted a video of the employees following him around the lobby, a representative for The Mining Exchange told TMZ, "Employees involved in this matter have been suspended, pending further investigation."
In a 26-minute clip shared on Instagram, Mark claimed he was racially profiled by the two staffers. The comedian was drinking a cup of coffee in the lobby when one man, who identified himself as the head of security, approached the comic and asked if he was a hotel guest.
In the clip, Mark could be seen drinking a cup of coffee in the lobby of the Mining Exchange A Wyndham Grand Hotel & Spa. While he was sitting there, a man who identified himself as the head of security approached the comic and asked if he was a hotel guest.
The unnamed man refused to leave until he could determine that Mark was indeed a guest. Annoyed, the latter said to the camera, "If you're Black and you're in Colorado Springs, you can't be in the lobby. Wow! This is crazy, isn't it?"
There was another employee standing next to the first staffer and he accused Mark of using the "race card." The 61-year-old eventually approached the frontliner and told her that he would like to contact the police on the two men for "harassing" him. The woman, however, told Mark that the man was one of their engineers who inquired if the actor was a guest "for safety."
In the caption, Mark wrote, "Black man and a Hotel Lobby it's impossible that he has a room here. No, I have a suite !He walks up to me with no badge on. I don't know who this man is. And asked to see my hotel key Wyndham racism." He then spilled, "719-323-2000 call them pleaseJhon Crab head of security and head of maintenance at the same time."
