AceShowbiz - We've been saying it wrong all along. During an appearance on Variety's Actors on Actors with Adam Sandler, Brendan Fraser revealed how to correctly pronounce his name.

"When I first met Brendan Fraser... that's your full name right? Brendan Fraser?" the "Grown Ups" star asked "The Whale" leading man. In response, the latter replied, "It's Fraser."

After Sandler repeated it and didn't hit the mark, Fraser explained that it rhymes with the word "razor." Pretending to shave, the Canadian-American actor told the former, "You shave with a razor."

Fraser then joked, "You should try standing closer to it," pointing at Sandler's growing beard. The comic then explained, "I didn't even know this happened. This is two days of not shaving."

Fraser is the latest celebrity who revealed the right pronunciation of his name. Adele did the same during a "Happy Hour with Adele" chat with fans in November to celebrate her cinematic "I Drink Wine" music video.

The 34-year-old praised her fan, Annie from London, who correctly pronounced her name. Annie had a thoughtful question about whether the singer's perspective on her journey to self-love during the recording of her "25" album changed while writing "30".

"Where's she from, Enfield or something? Love that," Adele responded. "She said my name perfectly," the "Someone Like You" songstress added with a smile, noting that she'd had a discussion with chat's host Benito Skinner a.k.a. Benny Drama earlier about how her name should be pronounced.

He came and asked me how I say my name and I said 'Uh-del,' " the Grammy-winning musician continued. "So, for the record, if you've been saying 'Ah-del' this whole time, well, you've been doing it wrong." She went on to say she prefers a slight lilt at the end of her name so that it is pronounced "uh-dehwl." The pronunciation is more in line with her North London accent.
