AceShowbiz - Saweetie has set the record straight. Having been accused of dissing his ex Quavo and Lil Baby on "Don't Say Nothin' ", the California raptress insists that she wasn't taking aim at anyone on the track.
The 29-year-old offered her clarification during an Instagram Live on Monday, December 6. "Ain't nobody dissing nobody. When I went on Caresha Please, I told y'all, whoever's on 'Don't Say Nothin', whoever that messaging was towards, it wasn't toward nobody," she explained.
“Ain't nobody dissing them boys," the female rapper, whose real name is Diamonte Quiava Valentin Harper, further stressed. "So you can kill them rumors and kill that because y'all don't even know who I’m talking about."
When appearing on Yung Miami's "Caresha Please" podcast, Saweetie already shut down the rumors. However, she did admit that some of her lyrics on "Don't Say Nothin' " were aimed at another unnamed celebrity bachelor.
"I saw some of the blog write-ups and they were all wrong," she said during the interview which took place in September. "Honestly, the people who I wrote that about will never see the light of day. Like, it never even got to that point of publicity."
Among those taking issue with the tune was Joe Budden. In an episode of his "The Joe Budden Podcast", the 42-year-old argued, "Saweetie gotta shut the f**k up... Come on, let's just get to it. I don't got time to play today. Saweetie gotta shut the f**k up. That's my take."
"I'm not listening to Saweetie until she answer the question everybody waitin' for her to answer," Joe continued. "Did you f**k Offset or not? That's it."
Joe's rant did not go unnoticed by Saweetie though. Instead of showing that she got butthurt, the raptress simply wrote on Twitter, "saweetie needs to STFU????? ok joelisha."
