AceShowbiz - Summer Walker won't let anyone dictate her. After being confronted by one of her Instagram followers for wanting to hire a male assistant that is "preferably white or gay," the "Still Over It" artist checked the said fan and defended her decision.
The R&B singer first announced the job vacancy on her Instagram Story. She penned, "need male assistant, 2k month age 25 & older atl, have to to have a car, have to know how to build stuff (preferably white or gay) just saying."
Before writing down her email, Summer pointed out another requirement. "& doesn't give af about who I am or my music just need you to come work :)," she wrote.
Shortly afterward, London On Da Track's baby mama unleashed a screenshot of her DM with a fan, who replied to her previous Story, "Not white we need to support blacks only." The person added, "That's like saying you don't trust black ppl."
Summer remained defiant though. On top of the screenshot, she elaborated, "Everyone I've ever hired my whole career has been black besides Ro, it'll be okay."
That aside, Summer recently shared her response after being snubbed by the Recording Academy which got fans questioning the Academy's choices. "And for the grammys for a 2nd time, the math is literally not mathing," the "CPR" hitmaker wrote on Instagram Story on November 15, shortly after the Grammys nominations were revealed.
"Atleast the streets fuq with me. Y'all always pack out every show & support everytime I drop so thanks for the love I do receive," the pregnant star continued, adding a white heart emoji. In a separate Story, the mom of one also thanked fans for their endless love and support following the snub. "Thanks for all the overflowing love in my dm's," so she declared.
