AceShowbiz - Nia Long has opened up about how her fiance Ime Udoka's cheating scandal has affected their son. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the "Are We Done Yet?" star claimed that it was "devastating" for 11-year-old Kez.
"I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son's face when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public," the 56-year-old, who took her son out of school when the news broke, told the outlet. "It was devastating, and it still is. He still has moments where it's not easy for him."
"If you're in the business of protecting women - I'm sorry, no one from the Celtics organization has even called to see if I'm OK, to see if my children are OK," the actress, who is also a mother to 22-year-old Massai from a previous relationship with actor Massai Z. Dorsey, further revealed. "It's very disappointing."
Luckily, Nia received support from her fans amid her rock bottom. "This tribe of women and men who were standing up for me in a way that felt like I was in this bubble of protection," she said, "and that was very comforting."
Nia also proved that she's such a strong mom to her kids despite facing rough times. On October 9, she shared on Instagram a photo of her with her two children. In the image, she and her elder son were all smiles, as her younger son struck a goofy pose by sticking his tongue out while holding a drink. She simply captioned it with a single black emoji.
It remains unclear whether Nia was "working things out with the suspended NBA coach since she remained mum when being asked about it. However, she was spotted ditching her engagement ring when leaving a local Whole Foods earlier that month.
