When appearing on 'Red Table Talk' with her sister and mother, the Grammy-winning singer also says he continued to stalk her after he allegedly hit her so hard that it knocked her teeth out.

AceShowbiz - Ashanti has opened up about her experience with domestic violence. When appearing on "Red Table Talk" with her younger sister Kenashia "Shia" Douglas, and their mom Tina Douglas, the "Foolish" singer recalled the moment she pulled up with a baseball bat to protect Shia from the latter's abusive ex-fiance.
In the episode titled "That Was the Darkest Time in My Life," the 42-year-old and her sister divulged that Shia's ex used to physically and verbally abuse her. They also told hosts Willow Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris that he continued to stalk her after he allegedly hit her so hard that it knocked her teeth out.
Knowing that her sister was in danger, Ashanti decided to pull up to the former's location by herself with a baseball bat to defend her. "I was like, 'Oh, nah.' And I went into the garage, I got the bat, I pulled up in the truck, I had vaseline," she said.
Back in October, Ashanti shared photos and videos showing the injuries that Shia suffered at the hands of her violent ex. "It is Domestic Violence Awareness month. Words will never be able to express the amount of pain, fury and disgust I feel reliving these moments… but at the same time I am so proud of how strong, courageous, resilient and unbreakable you are," she first penned.
"My sister is a warrior! I love you deep and infinitely. Thank you for being so brave and bringing awareness to this evil, vile and sad behavior that so many women face every day," the Grammy winner added. "You did it! You won! Some women feel so scared that they have no way out… by sharing your story you bring hope, strength & continue to raise awareness for Domestic Violence."
