The 'Uncut Gems' actress says she 'felt compelled to say something' because 'if a white, blonde, beautiful, successful actress' like Amber could be allegedly abused, 'this is going to damage humanity.'

AceShowbiz - During the much-publicized Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard trial, Julia Fox was among those who took the "Aquaman" star's side. Now, the Italian-born star has explained why she "felt compelled" to stand up for her fellow actress amid the bitter defamation case.

During Julia's appearance on Emily Ratajkowski's "High Low" podcast, the model brought up Julia's comments on the trial. "I wanna talk to you about standing up for Amber Heard because I just thought that was really incredible...," the British star said.

"Thank you, that was crazy!" Julia responded. "I feel there is a movement on TikTok regarding Amber and Johnny when people read all the documents, like a backtrack, but still the damage is done." The 32-year-old said she felt the need to defend Amber because "none of us safe," "if a white, blonde, beautiful, successful actress" like Amber could be allegedly abused.

"I did have to say something because if it could happen to Amber Heard who is a white, blonde, beautiful, successful actress, because people say she had no career before him," she elaborated. "She had over 10 movies I think, none of us are safe."

"I just feel compelled to say something. Guys. you don't realize, this is going to damage humanity, all of the women in the world are going to suffer from this," Julia further claimed. "Abuse is so insidious and sometimes you don't even know you're being abused and sometimes you don't want to see yourself as a victim and you try to be tough and fight back and say 'we fight each other.' "

Stressing that it's not about being woke, the former flame of Kanye West continued, "It's like b***h, we know he whoops your f*****g a**. I always stand up for women in a situation because I've been there and I know how lonely it is."

"I know how scary it is when people you've been looking at your whole life are looking at you funny, it's like, 'I'm not a liar,' " she said, imagining being in Amber's position. "Call me any name in the book but I'm not a liar."

When Emily pointed out, "And the way people turned her into this hysterical character..,' Julia retorted, "I know, it's f**ked up."

During the trial in May, Julia posted on Instagram, "This is clearly a sick way of still controlling her life by suing her all over the world." She went on claiming, "She never had the power in the relationship to be abusive to him. Did she hit him? Yes. Was it abuse? No. You need to have power to be able to abuse it. She was 25. He clearly was always way more powerful including physically and financially."

The jury eventually found Amber guilty of defaming Johnny and awarded the actor $10 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive damages. Amber was also awarded $2 million in compensatory damages and zero in punitive damages from her ex-husband. Both stars are still seeking to overturn the ruling.
