AceShowbiz - Meet the new Miss Teen USA. Faron Medhi of Nebraska has been crowned the 40th Miss Teen USA after winning the final competition which took place on Saturday night, October 1 at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada.
The 18-year-old beauty won over 50 other contestants in the show, which was hosted by reigning Miss USA Elle Smith and FYI storyteller, multi-platform creator and brand builder Christian Murphy. She graduated from Millard North High School with a 4.1 GPA and is attending GCU in Phoenix, AZ in the fall majoring in Biology on the pre medicine path.
According to her bio on Pageant Update, she is a hip-hop dancer and took breakdance for 9 years. She is a dance teacher for ages 2-80. Faron is also a model, signed with Develop Model Management in Omaha (mother agency), Select Chicago, Wilhelmina Denver and Nomad LA, having started modeling at age 12.
Faron has competed in pageants since the age of 9 and has always dreamt of becoming Miss Nebraska Teen USA. She aspires to become Miss USA. She was crowned as Miss Nebraska Teen USA in March and is using her title to inspire self confidence, authenticity and vulnerability.
Also in the top five were Jenna Beckstrom from Idaho (1st runner-up), Cassidy Hill from California (2nd runner-up), Isabella Mosqueda from Michigan (3rd runner-up) and McKinley Farese from Tennessee (4th runner-up).
Miss Teen Ohio USA Kylan Darnell won the special title of Fan Favorite. Miss Photogenic went to Miss Teen North Carolina Gabriela Ortega. Janae McIntosh of Nevada was named Miss Congeniality, while Best State Costume was won by Haleigh Hurst from Oklahoma, with Miss Teen North Carolina Gabriela Ortega and Miss Teen Wisconsin Sage Gundelly placing second and third respectively.
Serving as the judges at the Saturday event were former Miss Teen USA Kaliegh Garris, Puerto Rican celebrity makeup artist Allan Aponte, Chief Commercial Officer of Senegence Anita Krpata, former Miss Teen USA Keylee Sanders Helmich, former Miss Canada/actress Tanya Memme, as well as public affairs consultant and former chief of staff to two California State Senators Bob Hartnagel.
