AceShowbiz - Tyrese Gibson and Zelie Timothy have given their romance another shot. Confirming that they have gotten back together, the "F9" star and his girlfriend unleashed a PDA-filled video from their beach trip.
The couple posted the romantic clip on Instagram on Monday, September 5. In the footage, soundtracked by Brent Faiyaz's "All Mine", they could be seen hugging and laughing together. "Sweetest touch has always been yours. I can't deny that. Thank you my love," so read the caption of the post.
Tyrese, who began dating Zelie in 2020, announced their split on July 7. "I am single now and I want everyone to DM have fun with @zelietimothy. She's verified now and wasn't ready to be married. She still wanted to go BIG [and] live her best life," he wrote, after likening the 25-year-old to a "snake."
On the reason why they called it quits, the singer/actor explained, "I want to get married and settle down and really really NEST and embrace the COMFORTS of this FAMILY AND MARRIED LIFE." He added, "I smoke hookah at home everyday so I don't want to be in your clubs or around your women I want to stay home and be the hard working family man that I am."
One month after making the post, Tyrese issued a public apology to Zelie. "Because certain folks never post about what they are thinking and feeling in life or relationships doesn't mean they're not going through anything," he penned alongside a photo of Zelie smiling.
"I publicly came at you [ you definitely posted with some choice words towards me first ] …. But my words were more harsh and hurtful and so for that Zelie I wanna publicly apologize," he continued. "No one knows what the future holds, but we all know who hold the future and that's the Lord…"
"This time apart has taught us both a lot….. Some good and some bad…. Peace is all I want, peace of mind and stability," the 48-year-old further noted. "I still love you I just hope I can understand you more one day…. Vibrations, Vibrations will rub with you in harmony or rub directly against you…. Prayers for better vibrations joys, magic and blissful levels of happiness."
