In the new episode of the long-running talent competition show, among the 11 acts who performed in the previous episode, only 2 of them will move on to season 17 finals.

AceShowbiz - "America's Got Talent" announced the first results of its Qualifier 1 in a new episode airing on Wednesday, August 10. In the new outing, among the 11 acts who performed in the previous episode, only 2 of them would move on to the Finals. Not stopping there, this current season 17 also doesn't feature an Instant Save.

Host Terry Crews first called Amoukanama and Lace Larrabee to join him on the stage. Only one of them was chosen to stay in the running for the two spots in the finale and it was Amoukanama. Later, it was announced that NFL Players Choir edged out Oleksandr Yenivatov.

Avery Dixon as well as Stefanny and Yeremy were then called onto the stage before Terry revealed that Avery was still up for a spot. Ava Swiss and Don McMillan later headed to the front of the stage next. Much to everyone's shock, Don was the one who was given a chance to move to the next round.

Drake Milligan, Ben Lapidus and Amazing Veranica & Her Incredible Friends were the 3 acts left in this Quarterfinals. According to America's votes, Drake joined the other 4 in the Top 5 while Ben and Veranica were sent home.

Before the final results were announced, season 16 winner Dustin Tavella returned to the "AGT" stage to deliver an incredible performance. It also surprisingly featured a "Modern Family" reunion between judge Sofia Vergara and co-star Sarah Hyland.

It was then time to learn the 2 acts between the Top 5, Drake, Avery, Don, NFL Players Choir, and Amoukanama, that would move on to the season 17 Finals. Avery, Don and Drake were named to be the Top 3 and the first act to be sent to the Finals was Drake! Joining him in the Finals was Avery!

Fans, however, were not happy that season 17 of "America's Got Talents" skipped Semi-Finals. "The new format is so unfair!!! What a disappointment!" an Instagram user wrote in a comment underneath one of the posts on the show's official page. Echoing the sentiment, another person added, "Really disappointed in the new rules!!! REALLY out of 11 acts and ONLY 2 MOVE ON? Should be the other way around!"

"Why did they get rid of the semifinals…," someone else commented. An angry viewer also said, "The show gets lazier each season. Now only 2 acts will go through out of 11??? How is that even fair."
