The 'Do We Have a Problem?' hitmaker hints at a fallout with her 'Monster' collaborator after she cuts off the track during her performance at Essence Festival.

AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj has seemingly taken a dig at Kanye West after he jumped on Cardi B's new song. The Trinidadian-born artist has been accused of throwing shade at her "Monster" collaborator during a performance at Essence Festival over the weekend.

Taking the stage as one of the headliners on Friday, July 1, the Harajuku Barbie performed her Lil Baby-assisted single "Do We Have a Problem?" before launching into fan favorites such as "We Go Up", "Did It On 'em" and "Beez in the Trap" during her set. However, when her DJ cued up "Monster", Ye's 2010 single where Nicki delivered a guest feature, she stopped the show.

In a clip of the show that night, Nicki said, "Wait, hold up, hold up! Hold on, hold on!" She went on telling the audience, "I'm 'Monster'd out...and we don't f**k with clowns," seemingly referring to the Yeezy designer.

From there, the "Super Bass" raptress introduced Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman and Lil Wayne as her special guests for the set. They performed "#1 Stunna", "Seeing Green", "High School", "Truffle Butter" and "A Milli".

It's unclear if her comments were intended as a diss at Ye, but this arrived after Ye is featured on Cardi's new song "Hot S**t". In the track which also features Lil Durk, the Atlanta native laments his pain over his divorce from Kim Kardashian and vents his frustration over the headlines about the custody war between him and his ex-wife.

"I'm just sayin', now I start to get used to the pain," Ye raps his verse. "Til one day I said, 'F**k it,' brought my masseuse on the plane." In another part of the track, the 45-year-old spits, "Another headline, 'Where your head at? N***a, go home, where your kids at?' They be on my nerve, they be on my nerve."

As for Nicki and Cardi's feud, it dated back to 2017, when the latter broke out on the rap scene and was instantly compared to the "Bang Bang" raptress. The tension culminated in an altercation at New York Fashion Week in 2018, during which Cardi reportedly approached Nicki about "spreading lies" and Cardi threw her shoe at Nicki.
