AceShowbiz - Quavo has just added mystery to the status of his group Migos. Met at LAX on Thursday, May 19 following a trip to Jamaica with his rumored girlfriend Karrueche Tran, he remained mum when asked about the split rumors.
Upon arriving in Los Angeles, the Athens native was asked by a TMZ cameraman, "What's going on with the band at this point?" As the rapper remained mum and kept his head down, the photog asked again, "A lot of people are concerned the band is breaking up, right? Anything you can say?"
Quavo still refused to answer the question, simply saying, "No." He, however, showed a bit of excitement when talking about his upcoming collaboration with Takeoff, "Hotel Lobby". To be released under the "Unc and Phew" moniker due to their family ties, it will arrive on Friday.
Rumors of Migos' split hit the Internet on Wednesday, May 18 after Offset and his wife Cardi B unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on Instagram. Fans also noted that Quavo wasn't following Offset anymore, leading to speculation that they had a fallout. Takeoff, on the other hand, is still following Offset and Cardi.
Around the same time, Quavo and Takeoff announced their new track "Hotel Lobby". In a teaser of the music video that seems to pay homage to Hunter S. Thompson's classic Sin City novel "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", the two enjoy a road trip through the deserts which appears to end up as a wild night.
"Unc And Phew Presents The Hotel Lobby Friday!" Quavo posted along with cover art of the project. Takeoff promoted the song on his own account, writing, "All Roads Meet @ The [h]otel Lobby! Friday 5.20."
