Detailing her workout routine and weight loss journey, the social media personality reveals that she went on a calorie deficit to lose 15 pounds that she gained at the start of her relationship with Michael B. Jordan.

AceShowbiz - Lori Harvey's sculpted abs may have raised many women's expectations of their body goals, but her weight loss method is not for everybody. The social media personality has been dragged after revealing her extreme weight loss regimen, which included a major calorie deficit.

The stepdaughter of Steve Harvey opened up about her weight loss journey in a TikTok video posted on Friday, May 13. While seen inside a moving car, she casually detailed how she lost 15 pounds which she gained at the start of her relationship with Michael B. Jordan.

"Everybody's been asking like what it is I specifically did to get my body to this point," Lori said at the beginning of the video. "So when Mike and I got together, I gained like 15 pounds of relationship weight and it was horrible, none of my clothes fit, it was just not OK."

The 25-year-old said that she has been doing Pilates consistently for the past year or so, but that's not what helped her drop the weight. She said she also did lots of cardio and went on a strict calorie deficit diet, consuming just around 1,200 per day during her weight loss period to achieve her toned physique.

She didn't adhere to a "specific eating regimen" but was "trying to [eat] meat and veggies and like minimal carbs," Lori explained. She added, "When I was trying to drop weight, I was working out like five, six times a week, and I would even do, for the first month and a half, I would even do two-a-days."

"[Cardio] is how you drop," she continued sharing. "Pilates alone is not going to make you lose weight. It's just going to give you long, lean muscles. So yeah, that's how I did it."

Lori was aware of the backlash that might be leveled at her as she preemptively told her followers, "Before y'all start your s**t this is what worked for me and MY body..everyone is different so tailor your needs to meet your goals."

Indeed, Lori has since faced criticism for her extreme weight loss method. Journalist Ernest Owens responded by reminding others, "Fun, but important, facts: 'Relationship weight' isn't a real thing -- but correlating comfort & love to weight gain as if it's a problem is fatphobic AF. Eating 1200 calories a day after gaining 15 pounds says a lot about Lori Harvey and the society's fear of fat. All sad."

One person commented underneath Lori video, "Please don't eat as low as 1200 calories guys." Another similarly noted, "omg 1200 is so low!!" Someone else warned others, "1200 MAX??? while working out??? Guys don't do that lol."

Others have defended the SKN by LH founder, with one clapping back at the critics, "It's funny that y'all are asking HER advice b/c she looks good and then telling her what doesn't work." Another noted, "Lori eating 1200 Cals is most likely based on her BMR + Cal deficient. She's not saying everyone needs to eat 1200 cals." Another fan wrote, "See this is why famous people don't give us the tea cuz then they get dragged. Let her live she putting us on."
