When speaking about his nuptials, 'RuPaul's Drag Race' judge admits that he had 'anxiety' when choosing between Los Angeles and New York for the ceremony.

AceShowbiz - Ross Mathews and Dr. Wellinthon Garcia have finally tied the knot. The "RuPaul's Drag Race" judge and his fiance exchanged wedding vows at a Mexico wedding with Drew Barrymore serving as a flower girl.
Speaking about the nuptials, the 42-year-old told PEOPLE, "It was a destination wedding." He added, "So we invited 130 people, thinking maybe 50 people would come. But 110 people came - and I'm thrilled!"
Mathews admitted that he had "anxiety" when choosing between Los Angeles and New York for the ceremony before they ended up in Mexico. "It caused me such anxiety," the TV host recalled. "But Drew Barrymore told us, 'Do it where you're supposed to do it, and the people who are supposed to be there will be there.' So we chose the place where we first met."
"I was on the The Drew Barrymore Show," he went on recounting. "One day we were doing a story about weddings and she asked me, 'Are you going to have a flower girl at my wedding?' And I'm like, 'Why? You want the gig?' "
"And she was like, 'Oh! Are you asking me to be your flower girl?' " Mathews further shared. "I was like, 'Do you want to be?' She goes, 'Are you serious?' I'm like, 'Are you serious?' And she's like, 'I'm so serious.' So she's our flower girl!"
Mathews announced his engagement to Garcia back in February 2021 via Instagram. Sharing a picture of the two, he gushed, "Fiance, you stay! I am so proud to announce that after over a year together - navigating a pandemic, quarantine and opposite coasts - the smartest, funniest and kindest man I've ever met said, 'Yes!' Dr. Garcia, I love you. A lifetime of adventure awaits."
He also shared the happy news when appearing on "The Drew Barrymore Show". He spilled at that time, "I'm going to tell you something that nobody knows... About a year ago I met somebody who just changed my life totally, and his name's Dr. Wellington Garcia. He's an educator and he's hilarious and he's the smartest person I've ever met."
"And you know how [Beyonce Knowles] says, 'If you like it, then you shoulda put a ring on it?' Well, I did!" he went on as he showed off his ring. In response to the shocking news, the talk show's host enthusiastically screamed, "I'm so happy for you!"
