The 'Angel of Mine' songstress further fuels the reconciliation speculation with the convicted murderer after she clapped back at those criticizing her relationship with the rapper.

AceShowbiz - Monica remains brazen amid backlash over her relationship with C-Murder. The singer/actress has fueled speculation about her supposed rekindled romance with the incarcerated rapper by sharing a new picture with him.

On Sunday, April 17, the "Don't Take It Personal (Just One of Dem Days)" songstress took to her Instagram page to unveil the snap featuring her cozying up to C-Murder. In the black-and-white shot, she stood in front of the rapper, who sat on a table and rested his legs on a bench, while he put his arms around her chest.

Looking comfortable around the convicted murderer, Monica placed one of his hands on top of C-Murder's, while she rested her elbow on his knee. She kept it stylish with apparent bold lipstick and a pair of aviator sunglasses.

It's unclear when or where the photo was taken, but there was a wire fence surrounding them in the image. She only mentioned New Orleans, Louisiana as the location without writing any caption.

Earlier this month, photos surfaced of Monica's reunion with her ex C-Murder in jail. During her visit, they posed together with the backdrop of an image of a gazebo. Dressing casually in a long-sleeved T-shirt, she stood in front of him in one of the images.

Another snap featured C-Murder putting his hand around Monica's shoulders as they stood side by side. The incarcerated rapper wore a blue button-up shirt in both photos.

After the pictures made their way out on the web, a fan clowned her for her apparent support to her ex as writing, "I wanna hug Monica and tell her C Murder aint getting out of prison." After The Neighborhood Talk reposted the fan's tweet, Monica clapped back at the critic, "Y'all not gone trigger me on a Sunday. Tune in to these CMT Awards tomorrow and stay out my MF business lol."

Monica and C-Murder briefly dated before he was arrested for a murder in 2003. In September of that year, the former TRU member was found guilty of beating and shooting a fan, 16-year-old Steve Thomas, at a nightclub in Harvey, Louisiana. The New Orleans native was sentenced to life in prison on August 14, 2009 and has been serving his sentence at the Louisiana State Penitentiary.
