AceShowbiz - Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning are apparently descendants of royalty. In a 2014 interview with PEOPLE, a family historian from Ancestry.com confirmed Dakota and Elle have relations to King Edward III, who ruled England from 1327 to 1377.
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton's mother Carole Middleton, is also a descendant of King Edward III. That means the Fannings and the Duchess of Cambridge are distant kin. Elle is Kate's 21st cousin.
