In an interview with Allure, the wife of Justin Bieber admits that while she used to see catwalks as an accomplishment, she realized she does not want to be put in a position where she feels small.

AceShowbiz - Hitting the runway of a high-profiled fashion show is the dream of many models, but that is not the case with Hailey Baldwin. Years after taking permanent catwalk hiatus, the wife of Justin Bieber spoke up about the reason why she will no longer return to runway modeling.
In an interview with Allure for its May issue, the 25-year-old model candidly confessed, "I had a really bad experience with a casting director who was very important." She further recalled that the casting director "said something to my agent that just shook my confidence when it came to the runway."
"I don't want to feel bad about myself in this space because I feel really good about the other work that I do," the daughter of Stephen Baldwin continued, "So why would I even put myself in a position to feel small?" She now prefers to sit front row at fashion shows instead of strutting her stuff on the runway.
Hailey also told Allure that being able to hit the catwalk as a five-foot-seven-inch model used to feel like an achievement for her. However, her experience with the casting director washed that feeling away.
Thankfully, retiring from the runway did not affect her career as a model. In the beginning of 2022, she has already booked major campaigns for five big fashion brands: Versace, Victoria's Secret, Jimmy Choo, Boss and Miu Miu. That said, people can expect to see her more on fashion editorial and commercial.
Hailey started to dip her toes in the modeling world in 2012. Two years later, she made professional debut as a runway model when she walked for Topshop Unique and became the new poster girl for French Connection's campaign. After her career took off, she did runways for many high-profile designers such as Tommy Hilfiger, Off-White, Bottega Veneta, Prabal Gurung, Versace and others.
