AceShowbiz - Tory Lanez responded to recent jokes about his bald spot. Defending himself after being the butt of jokes regarding his bald spot, the Canadian rapper wrote on Twitter that he suffers from Alopecia.
"I'm fully aware of the bald spot in the back of my head guys i rap about it all the time," Tory shared. "It's alopecia…. What's the big deal," he continued, adding laughing and shrugging emojis.
In response to that, some fans had mixed reactions to the tweet. "That's cap af your honor," one person wrote, accusing the spitter of lying. "GI Jane 2? Cant wait to see it," someone else replied, referring to Chris Rock's joke about Jada Pinkett Smith that earned the comedian a slap from the actress' husband Will Smith at the 2022 Oscars.
Some others showed support for Tory. "Cause that is all they got since you walk out of court smiling ...it's called grasping for straws but when u walk out like this," one fan wrote. "FORGET THR HATERS CAUSE GOD GOT YOU."
It remains to be seen if Tory really has alopecia or he was just joking because the hair-loss condition is the topic of conversation following Will's drama at the Oscars. Following the incident, Jada opened up about her bald head in a TikTok video.
"I've had some definite hair regrets, for sure," the actress laughed, adding, "Specifically on covers." She added, "Being a black woman and dealing with hair in Hollywood, especially in the era that I came up in…having your hair look as European as possible was always the thing."
"And that was really challenging, you know, because I liked my hair out, wild, and curly, but nobody wanted that," she continued. "I always had to do my hair in ways that didn't feel natural to me, because I was trying to play the game."
While Hollywood executives preferred her hair "straight and flowy," Jada said that it wasn't "really what my hair likes to do." She concluded, "I don't give two craps what people think about this bald head of mine, because guess what? I love it."
