The actress, who portrayed the mother of Jason's character on the 1989 sitcom, died of natural causes on Saturday evening, April 2 in Palm Desert, California.

AceShowbiz - Jason Alexander is mourning the death of his "Seinfeld" co-star, Estelle Harris. Upon learning of his TV mom's passing, the George Costanza depicter on the 1989 sitcom took to social media to pay tribute to the late actress.

"One of my favorite people has passed - my tv mama, Estelle Harris. The joy of playing with her and relishing her glorious laughter was a treat," the actor/comedian penned on Twitter on Saturday, April 2. "I adore you, Estelle. Love to your family. Serenity now and always."

Estelle died of natural causes on Saturday evening in Palm Desert, California. She was 93. Confirming Estelle's death was her son Glen Harris, who said in a statement, "It is with the greatest remorse and sadness to announce that Estelle Harris has passed on today, leaving a hole in my heart too deep to describe."

"Her kindness, passion, sensitivity, humor, empathy and love were practically unrivaled, and she will be terribly missed by all those who knew her," the message further read. "She always adored meeting and greeting children of all ages everywhere she went -- and of course making them laugh. Her passion was her work, and her work was her passion."

Born in New York City and raised in a small coal mining town in Pennsylvania, Estelle appeared on 27 episodes of "Seinfeld" between 1992 and 1998. She began her career in Hollywood by starring in "Looking Up" and then "Once Upon a Time in America".

Estelle was also known for voicing Mrs. Potato Head in three installments of the "Toy Story" franchise (2, 3 and 4). Her other film credits included "Promoted", "CBGB", "Playing Mona Lisa", "Dancing in September", "What’s Cooking?", "Lost & Found", "My Giant", "The Odd Couple II", "Chairman of the Board", "Out to Sea", "Downhill Willie", "Perfect Alibi", "This Is My Life", "Stand and Deliver" and "Summerdog".

She was also featured in a number of series like "Futurama", "The Looney Tunes Show", "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody", "iCarly", "ER", "Mind of Mencia", "Phil of the Future", "Dave the Barbarian", "Kim Possible" and "The Proud Family" among others.
