Keith Urban Takes Over Adele's Las Vegas Residency Dates After Last-Minute Show Cancellation

Taking to his social media account, the 'Wild Hearts' hitmaker excitedly announces to his fans that he has five additional dates for his performance at Caesars Palace.

AceShowbiz - Keith Urban has exciting news to share. The "Wild Hearts" hitmaker is set to take over some of Adele's canceled Las Vegas residency dates after the "Easy On Me" singer pulled the plug on her show less than 24 hours before showtime.

Taking to his Instagram account on Tuesday, January 25, the 54-year-old Australian rocker announced five additional show dates at Caesars Palace. "VEGAS !!!!! We're coming BACK to the @colosseumatcp ! See you SO soon. March 25 - April 2. for all details !!!" he captioned his post.

In response, many of his fans expressed their excitement in the comment section. "Amazing. I just knew that you would have to add more shows, because your fans love you and your music so so very much," one wrote. Another chimed in, "Soooo excited for you! Cannot watch this without being captivated by your eyes! So happy and bright."

Keith's additional dates are March 25, 26 and 30 as well as April 1 and 2, a pair of weekends that Adele would have been playing as part of her now-postponed residency. As for the tickets, it will go on sale Monday, January 31 at 10 A.M.

The announcement arrived days after Adele shared that she postponed her show, citing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic as a factor. However, reports claimed that there was some drama behind the cancellation.

A source close to the management team at Caesars Palace spilled to Page Six on Tuesday that Adele was "shouting and sobbing" on the phone to Rich Paul, her sports agent boyfriend of six months, during rehearsals. "Adele's been crying and couldn't get through a single full rehearsal for the past month," the source claimed. It's also said that the chart-topper singer "has barely rehearsed because she is constantly in the middle of an emotional shootout."

Scott Roeben, the Las Vegas-based journalist who broke the news of Adele's residency, told the outlet that many people close to the show team are now worried that the pop star will cancel the concerts for good despite her statement that she will reschedule her show. "There are rumblings that there are stresses related to Adele's relationship," Scott shared.

"I'm told that these stresses caused her to be in a place where she was just not confident moving forward," Scott told the outlet. He went on saying, "You can't focus if you're not where you need to be in your head."

As for Adele, she reportedly took a private jet to Los Angeles and went straight to her boyfriend's home after announcing her show postponement. She was caught sneaking into Rich's Beverly Hills mansion just two hours after she made the tearful announcement.

Recently, it's said that Adele called off her show following alleged "furious row" over swimming pool stunt. "When she saw the finished design, she refused to take part," a source told The Sun, adding that the pop star described the pool as a "baggy old pond and refused, point blank, to stand in the middle of it."

A separate source spilled to the outlet that her residency was allegedly destined for "disaster" amid arguments with Esmeralda Devlin, one of the set designers. "In spite of the set costing millions to put together, Adele was unhappy with the result, and she made her feelings very clear to Es," the informant shared.
