AceShowbiz - Olivia Munn is getting a well-deserved break after giving birth to her first child, Malcolm. On Sunday, January 23, the "X-Men: Apocalypse" star took to her Instagram account to share with fans a picture of her getting a hair transformation at her home.
In her new post, Olivia included a mirror selfie featuring herself and her friend and hairstylist Kylie Fitz, who was adding curlers to the top of the actress' head. The new mom could also be seen holding her son, whom she shares with John Mulaney, in one of her hands. He looked adorable with a pacifier and beanie as he quietly sat on his mom's lap.
"When your friend shows up and surprises you with a blowout even though you're in your robe and not going anywhere," Olivia wrote in the caption of the sweet post. "Thank you @bykileyfitz for making today feel a little less post partum. ILYSM!"
The heartwarming post caught attention of some of Olivia's celebrity pals. Among those who commented underneath was Kate Hudson, who wrote, "Oh mommy [heart emoji]. The best to be in that baby space." Kylie herself replied to the post, saying, "Love you!!!"
"YAY!!" Kimberly Williams-Paisley chimed in. Meanwhile, NBC News correspondent Vicky Nguyen wrote, "first 6 months is super hard so give yourself grace and accept all the help and companionship."
Fans were also amused by the post. "Life is always better with good friends," someone penned in a comment. Some other fans called Kylie "a good friend" with her "very thoughtful" action towards the actress. Meanwhile, one particular person was more focused on baby Malcolm, writing, "Dat baby cute though."
Olivia has been opening up about motherhood after welcoming Malcolm in December 2021. "Breastfeeding is soooo hard, especially if you have low supply," she shared on her Instagram Story on January 19. "8 weeks in and I've taken a million vitamins, countless teas, lozenges, tinctures and worked with two lactation consultants. Breastfeeding. Is. Hard."
John announced Malcolm's arrival on Instagram by sharing a sweet snap of the baby on Christmas Eve. "Meet Malcolm Hiep Mulaney," John wrote. "He has his whole life ahead of him. He hasn't even tried seltzer yet. I'm very in love with him and his whole deal. Happy Holidays."
"My Golden Ox baby," Olivia added, referencing her son's Chinese Zodiac animal. "Malcolm Hiep Mulaney. Happy Holidays."
