AceShowbiz - Celine Dion is forced to put her shows on hold. The "My Heart Will Go On" hitmaker announced that she has canceled the entire North American leg of her "Courage World Tour" amid her recovery from "severe and persistent muscle spasms."

The 53-year-old shared the announcement on her website on Saturday, January 15. "I was really hoping that I'd be good to go by now, but I suppose I just have to be more patient and follow the regimen that my doctors are prescribing," she first noted.

"There's a lot of organizing and preparation that goes into our shows, and so we have to make decisions today which will affect the plans two months down the road," the five-time Grammy Award winner added. "I'll be so glad to get back to full health, as well as all of us getting past this pandemic, and I can't wait to be back on stage again."

Before completing her message, Celine told her fans that she's "been very touched by all the words of encouragement that everyone's been sending to me on social media." She concluded, "I feel your love and support and it means the world to me."

The "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" singer was supposed to resume the North American shows on March 9 at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. The dates ended on April 22 at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C.

As for the European leg of her "Courage World Tour", it was pushed back to 2023. "I was really looking forward to seeing all of you in Europe this summer," she declared in May 2021. "But unfortunately because of the situation in our world things just keep getting pushed back. But please don't despair, we feel really good about doing the shows in 2023 and I can't wait to finally see you."
