When unveiling her new romance, 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' star says that she and her new man are currently 'friends who kiss' and insists that it's 'not weird at all' to date James Bergener's friend.

AceShowbiz - Noella Bergener has apparently found a new man in her life amid a messy divorce with James Bergener. "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star has unveiled that she's in a relationship with a man who knew her estranged husband.

During the Wednesday, January 5 episode of Us Weekly's "Getting Real with the Housewives" podcast, the 36-year-old reality star said, "There's somebody that I have known for years. He knew me married and knew my husband." She insisted, "That's not weird at all, but we just have a lot of love and respect for each other."

"He was one of those that just constantly checked in on me. Like, the moment James left, just like, 'How are you? Did you need anything? Do the kids need anything?' Like, one of those," Noella shared. The Bravolebrity also confirmed that she's been with her new man for about one month. She said, "It's just slow. It's very, very fresh. So, who knows. At the end of the day, I have an amazing friend, but right now, we're friends who kiss."

Noella, who shares 2-year-old son James Jr. with her ex, has been documenting her split on "RHOC". On December 19, the Housewives newcomer posted a lengthy Instagram statement detailing the dissolution of her relationship.

"To this date James has not visited our son or given me any explanation for his departure. He has fled the state to evade service," Noella explained. She then noted that her ex "hasn't paid a dime in support, he stopped paying for our home and is currently holding up our divorce unless [she] signs a statement saying that [she] lied about him, his business partner and his brand."

Noella further revealed that James was initially holding up the divorce settlement due to "his ego." However, on December 21, James, who tied the knot with Noella in June 2020, said that he looked forward to addressing "all these false accusations in a courtroom." He noted, "A judge in Puerto Rico, where I am a resident, has already granted our divorce. Ultimately, Noella is the mother of my child, and I will not publicly disparage her."

Not stopping there, James shared on his Instagram account on December 24 a video that pointed out that Noella has "changed" because of the Bravo show's filming. "Her sole focus became the show. We rarely spoke, and when we did, we'd end up in fights," he claimed. He added that shortly thereafter, Noella filed for divorce. He also believed that "it was clear that Noella chose the show over me and the family."

It didn't take long for Noella to address James' videos with a few statements of her own, in which she shot down the "lies." She wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption, "Lie - That I chose the show over our marriage. James wanted me on the show to promote his brand."

"He was my biggest cheerleader throughout the process. Only after his background check revealed he had lied to me for years about his tax debts did he hesitate," Noella alleged. "At this point, 4 days before filming, it was too late to pull out and frankly the show was the only thing keeping him honest."
